• If you’re driving to Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, there are a few things you might want to consider to make your journey as stress-free as possible:

Austria has a motorway toll system that legally requires a vignette sticker for your car. You have to pay high penalties if you don’t have one. Vignettes are available at kiosks and gas stations (can be purchased prior, in neighbouring countries). They are valid for ten days, two months or a whole year respectively. A toll fee at Arlberg tunnel is also required. Investing in a video toll card before your journey will save you both time and inconvenience.

Our experience has shown that Saturdays are the busiest travel days on the roads. Please plan sufficient travel time or adjust your time planning accordingly, particularly if it is the holiday season. Up-to-date traffic news and traffic congestion notifications can be found on the ÖAMTC website.
